Job summary

SAIC in Rock Island, Illinois, is seeking a Data Scientist to join our Advanced Analytics team to support the Army Vantage Data Analytics System, building and implementing models, and deploying simulations.

You will work with Python, SQL, and JavaScript/TypeScript to design algorithms, develop analytics tools, and contribute to an MLOps framework, with a focus on solving mission-relevant problems for the customer.

Qualifications

• Relational database expertise in database storage, SQL queries, and keys.
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, Java, and/or JavaScript.
• Experience delivering data analytics solutions and creating algorithms.
• Hands-on ML deployment with optimization focus and analytics tooling.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analysis of mission data in multiple domains.
• Formulate and interpret problems in mathematical or computational terms.
• Design, develop, use, and evaluate mathematical models and algorithms.
• Develop and enhance software algorithms for large data sets.
• Research tools for integration to enhance Analytics and AI offerings.
• Create new tools using various languages, frameworks, libraries.
• Improve and test an MLOps framework to support analysis work.
• Refine existing applications to meet the customer’s mission.
