Job summary

SAIC in Huntsville, Alabama seeks a Data Scientist to join the Advanced Analytics Team supporting the Army Vantage Data Analytics System. You will build models, implement algorithms, and run simulations to solve mission-critical problems.

Responsibilities include developing data tools, refining ML deployments, and enhancing applications for the customer’s analytics needs, with an emphasis on rigorous data analysis and model validation. A clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Relational databases knowledge including SQL and keys.
• Proficiency in Python, TS, Java, or JavaScript.
• Experience delivering data analytics solutions.
• Hands-on algorithm development for data processing and modeling.
• ML deployment with optimization focus; numerical methods understood.
• Palantir Foundry/Vantage experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analysis of mission data across domains.
• Formulate problems in mathematical terms for modeling.
• Design and implement mathematical models and algorithms.
• Develop and enhance software algorithms for analytics.
• Research tools for analytics and AI enhancements.
• Create tools using various languages/frameworks.
• Improve MLOps framework to support teammates.
• Refine applications to meet customer mission needs.
