Job summary

Iron EagleX (IEX), a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), seeks a Mid Data Scientist to support US Army Special Operations Command at Ft. Bragg, NC.

The role focuses on data-driven solutions, predictive modeling, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve operations and outcomes. Candidates should have 5–8 years of data science experience, a relevant Bachelor's degree, and a DoW TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python and Bash, including API development and data manipulation.
• Familiarity with SQL and large-scale systems such as PostgreSQL, Hive, or Trino.
• Basic understanding of ML concepts and familiarity with Flask or FastAPI.
• Clearance: Current DoW TS/SCI Clearance required.
• Experience: 5-8 years of related experience, including academic or internship-based data science work.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.

• Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
• May develop processes and machine learning based tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• May coach and review the work of less experienced professionals.
• Works independently under general supervision

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Data Scientist-Mid will support Defense & Intelligence Programs at U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) located at Ft. Bragg, NC which supports the broader U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Intelligence Data Science Team efforts.

• Certifications: None required; cloud or ML-related certifications preferred.
• Role requirements: On-Site 5 days
