Job summary

CACI is hiring a Data Scientist to apply analytics to NGA mission problems in a Python-rich, Agile setting. You will join a collaborative team turning large geospatial datasets into actionable insights, building visuals and workflows to support analysts and program systems. Qualifications include a BS in a related field and 4+ years of experience with Python and SQL.

A TS/SCI clearance with polygraph willingness is required. Up to 10% travel within the Continental USA.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, CS, Math, Statistics, or related field (equivalent experience accepted)
  • 4+ years of data science or analytics experience
  • Proficiency in Python (or R) and SQL for data manipulation and analysis
  • Experience applying statistical analysis, classification, regression, or clustering techniques
  • Experience with data visualization tools (matplotlib, Tableau, or similar)
  • Security Clearance (TS/SCI) with willingness to undergo polygraph examination

  • Clean, filter, transform, and enrich data to support exploratory and production analytics.
  • Build visualizations and dashboards for exploratory and comparative analysis.
  • Support integration of analytic capabilities into program systems alongside development teams.
  • Collaborate with analysts and Product Owners to refine analytic requirements into working solutions.
  • Document methodologies, assumptions, and model behavior.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and deliver within sprint and PI commitments.

  • 4+ years of data science or analytics experience.
  • Proficiency in Python (or R) and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Experience applying statistical analysis, classification, regression, or clustering techniques.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (matplotlib, Tableau, or similar).
  • Security Clearance (TS/SCI) with willingness to undergo polygraph examination.
Desired:
  • Exposure to geospatial data and tools (ArcGIS, QGIS, GeoPandas).
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and model deployment.
  • Experience operating within SAFe or Agile delivery frameworks.
