What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning models to enhance our prior authorization platforms.
  • Construct SQL queries, perform preprocessing, feature engineering, and data transformations to analyze healthcare data and support model training.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to integrate ML models into development and production environments across US and India locations.
  • Work with clinicians and stakeholders to improve ML models' efficacy and development.
  • Coordinate with Infrastructure and Architecture teams to optimize model efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
  • Utilize Azure DevOps for CI/CD of ML models.
  • Lead MLOps initiatives to streamline deployment, monitoring, and improvement of ML models.
  • Perform data mining to uncover insights and inform automation strategies.
  • Implement feature flagging for rapid testing and optimization of models.
  • Translate technical details into clear insights for stakeholders through storytelling with data.
  • Stay current with ML and AI advancements, testing and integrating new techniques.
  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering continuous learning and growth.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related; Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.
  • Proficiency in Python, with experience in ML frameworks such as Keras, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, XGBoost.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical methods, data structures, algorithms, feature engineering, and data mining.
  • At least 2 years of experience with SQL, developing complex queries.
  • Experience in cloud environments (AWS, GCS, Azure) and with CI/CD tools like Github Actions.
  • Experience working in Agile teams.
  • Proven ability to deploy ML systems into production.
  • Healthcare experience, especially with administrative and prior authorization data.
  • Ability to solve complex, ambiguous problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Experience collaborating with Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, and Architecture teams.
  • Proficiency with Azure cloud services and Azure MLOps preferred.
  • Experience with deep learning, NLP, reinforcement learning, and LLMs is a plus.
  • Knowledge of feature flagging and contributions to the ML community are advantageous.

Technical Requirements:

High-speed internet (>10 Mbps) and direct connection to home router for call center employees are required. These requirements may change with office reopenings.

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000, with eligibility for bonuses based on performance. We offer comprehensive benefits, including health insurance. Compensation is based on skills and experience, and may vary accordingly.
