About The Role

Position Summary: We are seeking a Junior or Mid-Level Data Scientist to support Scientific & Technical Intelligence (S&TI) and acquisition-focused missions. This role involves applying data science methods, including data engineering, mining, statistical modeling, and machine learning to analyze complex datasets and deliver actionable insights. The ideal candidate will create automation tools, build predictive models, and produce visual and narrative products that enable more informed analytic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct data mining, engineering, exploratory and predictive analysis to support S&TI and acquisition needs.
  2. Use machine learning and statistical techniques to develop tools such as recommendation engines, automated scoring systems, and predictive models.
  3. Translate complex operational and analytic processes into machine-readable, automated systems.
  4. Create visual, written, and verbal products that convey analytic findings clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  5. Design and maintain dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI and Tableau.
  6. Retrieve and integrate data from multiple sources and formats using Python, R, or SQL.
  7. Collaborate closely with analytic methodologists and technical staff to support the integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions into operational workflows.
Qualifications

0 years with BS/BA; 4 years no degree

Required Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience with machine learning, statistical analysis, and data mining techniques.
  • Familiarity with large-scale Multi-INT datasets and intelligence-driven analytics.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to develop compelling data stories through written, verbal, and visual means.
  • TS/SCI clearance with ability to pass a polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community environments.
  • Background in S&TI or acquisition-focused analytics.
  • Demonstrated success developing AI/ML tools for operational use.

Target Salary Range: $80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
