Job summary

Amgen Inc. in the United States is seeking an Undergrad Intern – Data Scientist for Summer 2027 within Amgen’s Technology & Medical Organizations.

You will work on extracting insights from large data, building predictive models, and supporting business objectives. This remote internship requires active enrollment in a Bachelor's program, in-state US location, and availability for full-time hours during the summer with potential future employment by 2028.

Qualifications

• Expected completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing.
• Continued enrollment in an accredited college or university following the internship program.
• Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship program.
• Must be available to work a full-time schedule.
• Must be available to accept and commit to future full-time employment by July 2028.

Responsibilities

• Executing/analyzing data analysis and modeling projects from design and processing of data.
• Testing new statistical analysis methods, software and data sources for continual improvement of quantitative solutions.
• Developing new ways for scientists to utilize data from multiple sources.
• Develop automated capability to read unstructured data and convert it to structured content that is available for analysis and modeling.
