Job summary

Amgen invites qualified undergraduates to join as an Undergraduate Intern – Data Scientist in Amgen’s Technology & Medical Organizations for Summer 2027. The role blends data extraction, statistical modeling, and creative problem solving to address business objectives and client needs.

Candidates will work on projects from design to processing, test new methods, and help develop automated data reading and structuring. Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s program and located in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in full-time Bachelor’s Degree program with a 3.0 GPA minimum.
• Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor's Degree program with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Location in the United States for duration of internship and availability for full-time work after internship.

Responsibilities

• Execute/analyze data analysis and modeling projects from data design and processing.
• Test new statistical methods, software and data sources for quantitative solutions.
• Develop new ways for scientists to utilize data from multiple sources.
• Develop automated capability to read unstructured data and convert it to structured content for analysis and modeling.
