Amazon Devices forecasting team is seeking a Data Scientist II to build econometric and machine learning models that project long-term demand and assess the value of new features. You will quantify willingness to pay and translate insights into strategic recommendations for product managers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with data querying languages (SQL), scripting languages (Python) or statistical software (R, SAS, Matlab).
• 2+ years of data scientist experience.
• 3+ years of machine learning/statistical modeling and related data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Build and validate econometric and machine learning models that generate long-term demand forecasts for Amazon Devices.
• Assess the incrementality of new products and quantify willingness to pay for product features.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to scope analytics projects and define data requirements.
• Communicate findings through clear documentation, visualizations, and presentations to drive decisions.
• Mentor less experienced data scientists through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
