Scribd, Inc. is seeking a Data Scientist II to design and deploy high‑impact AI/ML systems. You will work with ML Engineers, Data Engineers and Product to build scalable models from massive data and deploy them in production.

You will join the Applied Research team, contributing to content enrichment, recommendations, search and translation, and collaborating across cross‑functional squads for business impact. Proficiency in Python, Spark, and ML pipelines is required with 3+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of post‑qualification experience building ML models at scale.
• Strong Python proficiency and experience in ML pipelines.
• Experience with distributed data processing frameworks (Spark/Databricks).
• Experience with NLP, search, information retrieval, or generative models.

Responsibilities

• Focus on content classification using NLP and LLMs.
• Research scalable methods to solve problems at Scribd, at scale.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, ML Engineers and ML Data Engineers.
• Leverage Scikit‑learn, PyTorch, and third‑party LLM APIs.
• Process large data with Python, SQL, and Spark.
• Document approaches and results clearly for stakeholders.
