Job Title: Data Scientist II

Location: Seattle, WA

Job Duties:

• Build machine learning algorithms and statistical models to detect traffic anomalies, L7 DDoS attacks, and Web Application Firewall false positives.
• Conduct research on predefined rules to improve model interpretability.
• Synthesize data collected from customers and container environments to develop an insightful analytics platform visualizing communication patterns between Kubernetes microservices.
• Collaborate with product and customer success teams to understand problems and discover solutions.
• Analyze user data to enhance customer engagement and experience.
• Build efficient, scalable algorithms to analyze data.
• Prototype statistical and quantitative analyses and work with engineering teams for deployment.
• Develop streamlined data collection solutions.
• Work with UX designers to craft innovative data visualizations.
• Utilize large datasets using tools like SQL, Hadoop, Spark, BigTable, or DynamoDB.
• Apply data science frameworks such as TensorFlow, Spark/MLlib, or similar, coding in R, Python, Java, and Go.
• Remote work is an option, with some travel to F5 offices possible.

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, with at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Salary:

$140,000 - $160,778 per year.
