Job summary

The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. seeks a Research Scientist I to support federally required reporting and data analytics for mental health program evaluation.

You will develop data infrastructure, process large administrative datasets, and create analytic reports in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree with two years of research experience (Master's may substitute for one year; PhD may substitute for an additional year).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with two years of professional research experience; master's may substitute for one year
  • PhD may substitute for an additional year of experience
  • Strong data analysis, reporting, and data visualization skills preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support federal and state reporting requirements through data preparation, validation, analysis, and documentation
  • Develop and maintain data infrastructure and analytic pipelines, including manual script development to support recurring and ad hoc analyses
  • Process and analyze large administrative datasets, including mental health and criminal justice data
  • Develop business intelligence reports, tables, visualizations, and analytic summaries for internal stakeholders
  • Apply statistical tools and techniques to explore data, identify patterns, and support program evaluation
  • Design and implement data workflows and visualizations, working with a small team of developers and analysts
  • Assist with research manuscript writing, technical reports, reviews, and analytic summaries
