Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a data analytics professional to join Cat Digital and help develop analytics for the world’s largest fleet of connected assets. You will work with internal and external data to predict applications, downtime, and efficiency improvements.

You’ll apply NLP, ML, and advanced statistics to deliver actionable business insights. The role requires knowledge of Python, data modeling, and cloud platforms, with opportunities to impact a Fortune 100 leader across a global

Qualifications

Bachelor's/Master's/PhD degree in Applied Statistics, Data Science, Predictive Analytics, or related field.
Experience applying Python to solve business challenges.
Experience with advanced data analysis and statistical methods (regression, hypothesis testing, ANOVA, SPC).
Working knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Advanced experience with version control repositories such as GitHub.
Strong initiative and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Perform data gathering, mining, and processing at large scale; build data models.
Explore and implement semantic data capabilities via NLP, text analysis, and ML techniques.
Define scope of data analyses and present insights using data visualization tools.
Research data model optimization and algorithms to improve accuracy of analyses.
