Job summary

ENGIE North America Inc. is seeking a data scientist to support Hedging & Risk Management for renewables. You will apply advanced analytics, build scalable tools, and translate complex data into actionable insights to improve risk and portfolio performance.

The role combines data science, finance, and cloud analytics to automate processes, enhance risk mapping, and empower data-driven decision making across renewable assets with hybrid in-office flexibility.

Qualifications

7+ years in data science, analytics, or related roles.
Advanced proficiency in Python and scalable analytic solutions.
SQL and cloud platforms experience with Databricks, Azure, Snowflake.
Statistical modeling, ML, optimization, forecasting experience.
Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools for visualization.

Responsibilities

Design scalable digital solutions to automate processes and improve efficiency across Hedging & Risk Management.
Develop predictive models, optimization algorithms, and analytical frameworks for portfolio and risk management.
Build risk metrics, dashboards, and reporting to visualize exposures and performance.
Support hedging strategies and portfolio optimization with quantitative analysis and tools.
Automate recurring financial and risk reporting using BI platforms and self-service analytics.
