Centric Software is seeking a Data Scientist Consultant for the Retail Planning and Pricing team. This remote role will collaborate with international teams on onboarding projects, translating customer needs into data transformations and building models to optimize pricing, inventory and promotions.

You will train and validate models using Python (Pandas, NumPy, Statsmodels) and design experiments to quantify impact, while maintaining clear data workflows and documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data analytics experience, preferably in retail or consumer goods.
• Strong SQL skills and analytical problem-solving abilities.
• Hands-on Python experience with Pandas, NumPy and Statsmodels.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers, consultants and customers during onboarding.
• Translate business requirements into data transformations and modelling approaches.

Working as a global team, we combine retail expertise with AI-powered technology to help customers improve inventory performance, revenue, margins and operational efficiency.**About the Role**We are looking for a **Data Scientist** or **Senior Data Scientist** with a consulting mindset to help retailers and brands make better decisions about inventory, promotions and pricing. You’ll combine analytical expertise with direct customer engagement, building and validating models that turn complex data into practical business decisions.
