Job summary

Leidos is actively hiring for a Data Scientist to support our team in Alexandria, VA. The role focuses on maintaining and implementing the data architecture for program data, including databases, cloud architecture, and data standards compliance.

You will develop workflows to enable API-based movement of data between platforms, ensure sensor data adheres to government schemas, and support ETL processes for emergent sensors.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with SQL or NoSQL databases and cloud architectures.
• Experience leveraging APIs to query systems and migrate data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience programming in Python, JavaScript, or Java.
• Experience developing and sustaining operational data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating data pipelines to store and process data related to emergent sensors and platforms.
• Develop workflows for API-based data movement between platforms as directed by government.
• Ensure sensor data adheres to government data schemas, formats, and governance.
• Assess metadata, data formats, and structures when integrating into the data operations pipeline.
• Pre-process and standardize data to match standards or transform for labeling and model testing.
