Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a data scientist to partner with cross-functional teams and deliver a product customers love. You will leverage Python, AWS, and a broad tech stack to uncover insights from large data sets and guide business decisions.

You will build ML models across all development stages, translating complex analyses into actionable business goals with strong collaboration and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field plus 2 years of analytics experience.
• Master’s degree in a quantitative field or MBA with quantitative concentration.
• Master’s degree in STEM or PhD in STEM.
• Experience with AWS, Python, ML, and SQL (≥2 years each).

Responsibilities

• Partner with a cross-functional team of data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver a product customers love.
• Leverage a broad stack of technologies — Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark, and more — to reveal insights from large volumes of numeric and textual data.
• Build machine learning models through all phases of development, from design through training, evaluation, validation, and implementation.
• Translate the complexity of your work into tangible business goals.
