Qualifications

• Hands-on data science using open-source tools and cloud platforms
• Experience building, validating, backtesting ML models
• Experience interpreting confusion matrices and ROC curves
• Experience with clustering, classification, sentiment analysis, time series, deep learning
• Preferred: PhD in STEM with 4+ years data analytics
• Preferred: AWS experience
• Preferred: people management experience
• Preferred: 5+ years in Python/Scala/R, ML experience

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-focused products
• Use Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark to uncover insights from large data
• Build ML models through design, training, evaluation, validation and implementation
• Translate complex data science work into tangible business goals
• Detect and mitigate fraud by building and deploying ML models
• Retrieve, combine, and analyze data from varied sources and structures
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies and state-of-the-art methods
• Challenge conventional thinking and identify opportunities to improve
• Support talent development for the team and beyond
