SAIC is seeking a Data Scientist to provide Systems Engineer Technical Advisor (SETA) services supporting the NRO’s Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED) in Chantilly, VA, responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle.

Key duties of this position include (but are not limited to) proceeding with data collection and analysis to enable transparency and explainability of AI/ML systems, supporting government customers to manage machine learning analytics programs,

Qualifications

• Bachelors and five or more years of experience; Masters and three or more years; PhD and 0 years. Relevant experience can substitute.
• Familiarity with Power Automate, Power BI, and PowerShell scripting for automation and data management tasks.
• Strong engineering background with knowledge of software architectures and machine learning approaches.
• Experience with ontologies, training dataset generation, model evaluation and validation, and responsible AI practices.
• Domain knowledge in Agile software development practices (Scrum, SAFe) and cloud computing architectures with experience monitoring software development progress via agile metrics, identifying risks, discrepancies, and performance issues.
• Demonstrated initiative, creative problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication in technical settings.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsabilités

• Provide data collection and analysis to enable transparency and explainability of AI/ML systems.
• Support Government customer to manage machine learning analytics programs and scale AI/ML models.
• Provide software architecture and technical expertise to support future systems and architectures and oversee development contractors.
• Apply systems analysis to identify technical debt, runway, and efficiency trade-offs for cloud-based designs.
• Develop briefings and documentation for computer vision tools, roadmaps, and acquisition strategies.
• Facilitate interchanges; resolve issues; provide engineering advice to achieve innovative capabilities for automated ML analytics.
• Collaborate with GED SETA staff to lead the customer in acquiring modern processing applications.
