Job summary

Makpar is seeking a Data Scientist to support enterprise data and analytics initiatives for a federal client. You will lead AI/ML development, build predictive and prescriptive models, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align analytics with enterprise objectives.

The role requires strong Python, SQL, and modern AI/ML frameworks experience, plus RPA tooling. A Active Secret clearance and local residency in MD/VA/DC are mandatory.”

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
• 4+ years of professional experience in data science and AI/ML.
• Strong expertise in Python, Jupyter, and Anaconda.
• Proficiency in AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Experience with RPA tools (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Python-based).
• Familiarity with Databricks, Apache Spark, and SQL.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on analytics and AI/ML solutions.
• Develop and deploy machine learning models and predictive analytics.
• Use Python, Jupyter, and Anaconda for modeling and prototyping.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to integrate models with data pipelines.
• Support data governance activities (tagging, metadata management, and secure sharing).
• Develop RPA solutions to automate business processes.
• Evaluate and recommend analytics products to ensure mission alignment.
• Communicate findings through dashboards, visualizations, and technical reports.
