Pinterest is seeking a Data Scientist to evolve our product with data-driven insights, analytics and modeling. You will measure user engagement, understand advertisers value, and help prioritize product changes across teams.

You'll work with engineering, product and researchers to translate analyses into real-world features and experiments, shaping the roadmap and accelerating experimentation.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, applied sciences, computer science or related field.
• Experience manipulating large, high-dimensional data sets; fluency in SQL and Python or R.
• Experience solving analytical problems with ML, statistical modeling, forecasting or econometrics.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical partners.
• Strong critical thinking when working with AI-generated suggestions; validate correctness, performance and security.
• Ability to connect data analysis to real business problems.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the product roadmap using data to understand user behavior and identify opportunities.
• Design and implement core metrics and evaluate A/B experiments.
• Explore alternative experimentation techniques to accelerate idea validation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineers, designers and researchers.
