Job summary

Superhuman is seeking a Data Scientist on the Mail team. This remote-flexible role partners closely with Data Engineering, Finance, RevOps, and UX Market Research to move metrics that matter. You’ll own experiment design, measurement, and AI feature impact across onboarding, activation, and retention.

The role requires 5+ years in data science, fluency in Python/SQL, and a strong foundation in statistics and experimentation. Compensation varies by US zone with base pay in two tiers.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Python and SQL with strong data exploration skills
• Strong applied statistics and machine learning skills
• Able to translate business questions into solid experimental designs
• Influences cross-functional partners with clear communication

Responsibilities

• Be the embedded data science partner for the Mail core product team, shaping metrics and roadmap decisions
• Define and own Mail activation, engagement, retention, and leading indicators
• Design and run experiments across the product lifecycle and build measurement frameworks
• Shape the measurement strategy for Mail's AI features (Auto Drafts, Auto Labels, Auto Archive, Calendar, MCP)
• Identify what drives deepest engagement and activation sequences for power users
• Quantify levers that drive conversions and reduce churn with data signals
• Communicate findings to PMs, engineers, and executives and raise decision quality
