Job summary

SAS, a leader in data and AI, is seeking a Data Scientist for our Cary, NC hybrid team. You will drive development, testing, and implementation of AI-centric SAS models, engaging stakeholders from executive sponsors to drive adoption and project success.

Join a collaborative environment with R&D and product management to evolve SAS solutions for industries including manufacturing, life sciences, and consumer goods. Strong CV/ML background required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in CS/Engineering/Data Science or related field with at least 3 years of full-time experience.
• Strong background in computer vision or machine learning model development.
• Experience using open-source solutions to solve CV/ML problems.
• Strong coding skills, preferably in Python or SAS.
• Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Location: Cary, HQ Hybrid (minimum of 3 days in the office per week).

Responsibilities

• Drive the development, testing, and implementation of AI-centric SAS models.
• Identify customer use cases and contribute to the model development strategy.
• Partner with engineering and product management teams to refine SAS model offerings.
• Foster strong collaborations with customers, partners, sales, and pre-sales.
