Job summary

beehiiv, Inc. is seeking a Data Scientist to apply rigorous data-driven methods to the Ad Network. You will work with Product, Engineering, and ML teams to build data models, pipelines, and dashboards that optimize publisher and advertiser value.

The role blends product analytics with data engineering to own the ad network data stack and drive experiments, with EST hours preferred. Compensation will reflect experience and location.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a highly technical Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or Data Engineer.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with BI tools (Looker/Tableau/Mode/Metabase).
• Experience with Python or R for data-driven research and statistics.
• Experience with experimentation methodologies (A/B testing, multivariate testing).
• Experience with data modeling to power reporting and analysis.
• Experience with SQL ETL to define and materialize KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Define and track key metrics and KPIs with product leaders.
• Build and maintain dashboards to monitor campaigns and network performance.
• Own the ClickHouse data model for the ad network.
• Design aggregation tables to support ML and reporting.
• Conduct deep-dive analyses to reveal patterns and pain points.
• Translate findings into actionable recommendations for the product roadmap.
• Monitor data flows for issues and improve data quality.
• Collaborate with engineering and data teams on instrumentation.
• Develop a beehiiv universal entity resolution system with engineers.
• Maintain advertiser conversion attribution logic.
