RATE: $80/hr 1099/Corp-to-Corp or $74/hr W-2

LOCATION: Miami, FL

One of Infonet’s premier clients has an opening for a Data Scientist for a 6-month project.

SCOPE OF WORK:

• Work alongside a team consisting of 4 data scientists, an ML engineer, and a data engineer.
• A successful candidate is expected to be self-sufficient. However, the team will guide and assist with the successful execution of tasks.
• Scrape data from up to 100 PDF documents with several pages to create a regression dataset.
• Perform regression modeling on the dataset.
• Combine the regression model with naval architecture equations (provided by the team) to build marine simulations.
• Use the team’s existing Plotly Dash web application to create a simple front end for the simulation model.
• Support the team on other projects as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

• Clear communication skills and fluency in English.
• Able to work 9-5 Eastern Standard Time (+/- 1 hour acceptable).
• Advanced-level Python programming for Data Science and Data Engineering with at least 3 years of professional experience.
• Strong background in building solutions using PySpark, Scikit-learn, Plotly/Dash, and data scraping packages.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

• Microsoft Azure and Data Bricks experience is a plus.
• Experience with ChatGPT API is a plus.
