RATE: $80/hr 1099/Corp-to-Corp or $74/hr-W2

LOCATION: Miami, FL

Can this role be performed as a "remote work from home" job with no on-site work required? Yes

SCOPE OF WORK

• Work alongside a team consisting of 4 data scientists, an ML engineer, and a data engineer.
• A successful candidate is expected to be self-sufficient, but will receive guidance and support from the team.
• Scrape data from up to 100 PDF documents with multiple pages to create a regression dataset.
• Perform regression analysis on the dataset.
• Combine the regression model with naval architecture equations (provided by the team) to build marine simulations.
• Use the existing Plotly Dash web application to create a simple front end for the simulation model.
• Support the team on other projects as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

• Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
• Ability to work 9-5 Eastern Standard Time (+/- 1 hour acceptable).
• Advanced Python programming skills for Data Science and Data Engineering, with at least 3 years of professional experience.
• Experience with PySpark, Scikit-learn, Plotly/Dash, and data scraping packages.

PREFERRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

• Experience with Microsoft Azure and Data Bricks.
• Experience with ChatGPT API.
