Title: Data Scientist

Duration: 12 month remote contract, extensions / conversion expected

Interview Process: 2 Rounds

• 1st Round: Preliminary Assessment via MS Teams, 30 mins
• Final: 1hr with (2) team members, 20-30 min live scripting assessment included

Start Date: ASAP

Hourly Pay: $65-75/hr (approx)

• Compensation is based on qualifications including education, certifications, experience, and more

Required:

• 2+ years industry experience (or equivalent experience) as a Data Scientist, (AI/ML) Machine Learning Engineer, Deep Learning Engineer, or MLOps Engineer
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform tools (e.g., BigQuery, VertexAI, DataFlow, DataProc)
• Understanding of creating class-based deep learning models in TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX and optimizing training or deployment for GPUs
• Proficiency in Python and Git to collaborate in a team environment with shared modules and scripts
• Good communication skills including concisely conveying the root causes of problems, risks, and blockers
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (or Bachelor’s degree with accompanying certificate from a ML based bootcamp)

Recommended:

• Comfort calling Generative AI (GenAI) APIs, with or without “tools”, potentially as agents
• Industry experience optimizing training / inference pipelines with HuggingFace on A/L/H series GPUs (bfloat, quantized, sparse, tf32, distribution including SPMD/DDP/FDSP)
• Industry experience using LLMOps tools for toxicity detection or bias detection, or for LLM evaluation
• Experience with parallel or asynchronous functions (Joblib, Multiprocessing, Apache Beam, Apache Spark)
• Experience with healthcare data, or large volumes of data (big data, wide data)

Day to Day Summary:

We seek a highly skilled AI/ML Engineer for our Medicare Member Experience data science team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and deploying Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) solutions related to structured and unstructured NLP data from our members. Your solutions will drive improvements to models, pipelines, and text analytics programs. These programs maintain our industry-leading satisfaction scores and drive millions of dollars of Medicare reimbursement for the business. Your expertise in data science crossed with engineering best practices enables you to rapidly iterate from POC to final delivery.
