MANTECH in Tampa, FL is seeking a Data Scientist to analyze complex datasets and develop ML/NLP models to support strategic decisions. You will work with cross-functional teams to automate data processes and communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The role requires a STEM degree, programming in Python/R/Java, and experience with Spark/Hadoop, Tableau/Power BI, and Git. Interim Secret clearance within 30 days is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or related STEM field required; Master’s preferred.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or Java and applying data science methods to real problems.
• Experience with Agile development and Git version control.
• Strong communication for technical documentation.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantitative analysis using exploratory mathematical and statistical techniques to identify patterns and trends.
• Coordinate data analytic research on structured and unstructured data, ensuring accuracy and relevance of insights.
• Develop innovative solutions to data challenges through experimentation, applying scientific methodology and statistical testing.
• Apply NLP, clustering, and predictive modeling to generate meaningful insights from diverse data sources.
• Design, automate, and optimize processes for data manipulation, cleaning, and organization across large-scale datasets.
• Utilize frameworks such as Spark and Hadoop for scalable data processing and analysis.
• Create compelling data visualizations using Tableau or Power BI to communicate findings effectively.
• Research, design, and deploy algorithms using Python, R (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas), or similar languages.
• Conduct statistical modeling and deploy machine learning solutions on cloud-based platforms to enhance predictive capabilities.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.

Qualifications
