Lyft seeks a data scientist to partner with Engineers, Product Managers, Designers, and Business teams in San Francisco. You will perform exploratory data analysis, frame problems mathematically and within the business context, and design experiments.

This hybrid role requires coordinating with software engineers to implement analytics events in production, analyze results, and help guide launch decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with Engineers, Product Managers, Product Designers, and Business
• Partners to frame problems, both mathematically and within the business context.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to gain a deeper understanding of the problem.
• Collaborate with Software Engineers to implement algorithms and analytics events inproduction.
• Design and run both simulated and live traffic experiments.
• Analyze experimental and observational data; communicate findings; facilitatelaunch decisions.

Experience:

Education and Experience:

• Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Physics, Data Science, or related field.
• 2 years of experience in job offered, operations research, or related occupation.

Skills:

• Experience creating metrics, analytical dashboards, and tools to track and monitorgrowth.
• Experience with statistics, business forecast and estimates, and authoring datapipelines.
• Experience with writing production queries and experiment design and analysis.

The expected base pay range for this position in the San Francisco area is $195,000 - $222,000/year. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
