Summary: We are seeking a Data Scientist with strong operational forecasting experience, production-grade Python skills, and the judgment to solve complex, ambiguous business problems using data and AI. This role is focused on building forecasting solutions that are used by operators. The ideal candidate understands that success is not simply producing an accurate model. It's delivering reliable, scalable forecasts, integrating them into operational workflows, and continuously improving the broader forecasting system. The position will apply advanced analytical techniques including time-series forecasting, causal modeling, machine learning, statistical analysis, and optimization to solve real-world operational challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Scientist will design, develop, deploy, and improve operational forecasting models at scale
  • Build production-quality Python solutions that are maintainable, testable, and extensible
  • Analyze large structured and unstructured datasets to identify trends, variability, and opportunities to improve forecast performance
  • Apply time-series forecasting, causal modeling, machine learning, statistical methods, and optimization to complex operational problems
  • Evaluate model performance and conduct error analysis to continuously improve forecasting accuracy and reliability
  • Translate forecasting outputs into actionable insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • As a Data Scientist, you will use AI-enabled tools thoughtfully to accelerate analysis, development, troubleshooting, and problem solving
  • Improve the overall forecasting platform and processes, not just individual models
  • Partner with operational stakeholders to understand how forecasts are consumed and ensure solutions are practical and trusted
Requirements
  • 3+ years of applied experience designing, developing, and deploying analytical models, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated experience with operational forecasting in real-world, production environments
  • Experience working with SQL and large datasets. The underlying role also utilizes analytical technologies including Python, SQL, R, Azure ML, Power BI, and Tableau
  • Advanced Python skills with the ability to read, troubleshoot, extend, and maintain existing production code
  • Strong knowledge of time-series forecasting, statistical modeling, machine learning, and data analysis
  • Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong judgment around model trade-offs and how forecasting outputs affect operational decisions
  • Ability to operate effectively when requirements are ambiguous or changing
  • Ability to communicate complex analytical findings clearly to both technical and business audiences
