Base pay range

$115,000.00/yr - $145,000.00/yr

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: $115K-$140K (depending on experience)

Work Location: This is a remote position (see on-site requirements below).

• On-Site Requirements: On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD for candidates that are local to the area. Candidates out of state will be onboarded virtually. Training will be virtual and telework maximized/permitted to the greatest extent possible, however for local candidates, training/tasking may require on-site work a few hours per week. Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received
  
  
  

Job Description:

• Managing new package requests and administering our data science package repository
• Gathering data from various sources, cleaning and transforming it into usable formats for analysis.
• Applying statistical and machine learning techniques to uncover patterns, trends, and insights within datasets.
• Analize complex datasets
• Visualize, interpret, and report data findings
• Create dynamic data reports
• Requirements Management, Schedule Estimation and Planning
• Collaboration and Coordination with members of a cross-functional team
• Other duties as assigned or required
  
  
  

Requirements

Required:

• At least five (5) years of experience performing duties similar to at least two (2) duties found in the Data Scientist description
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline is required
  
  
  

Desired:

• Experience with 3rd generation programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or C++ desired
• Experience with data science packages desired
• Knowledge of various machine learning techniques (e.g., clustering, decision trees, neural networks), model evaluation, and deployment desired
• Familiarity with big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud services (e.g., AWS)
• Experience working with Application Lifecycle and Configuration and Knowledge Management software is highly desired
• Experience with GitLab is preferred
• Experience with UNIX Shell Scripting is desired
• Experience with Agile Methodology is desired
  
  
  

Security Clearance:

• Must have active secret clearance and be eligible for Top Secret Clearance (SSBI). Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
