Job description

Akkodis is seeking a Data Scientist for a contract job with a client in Hartford, CT. You will be responsible for designing and implementing data storage and processing solutions on the Snowflake platform.

Rate Range: $70/hour to $90/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Data Scientist's job responsibilities include:

• Design and implement data storage and processing solutions on the Snowflake platform.

• Handle data migration activities and ensure smooth integration.

• Optimize complex SQL queries for performance and troubleshooting.

• Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality data solutions.

• Utilize Python scripting, PySpark ETL, and PL/SQL for automation and data engineering.

• Leverage the AWS cloud platform for cloud-based data operations.

• Apply best practices in software development, including using git-based source control.

• Understand and work with Snowflake’s architecture, including virtual warehouses, storage layers, and security features.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum of 8-10 years of hands-on experience in data engineering and data science roles.

• Proven expertise in Snowflake data platform and cloud-based data warehousing.

• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and data migration processes.

Pay Details: $70.00 to $90.00 per hour
