Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Data Scientist for Fort Meade, MD, an on-site role with Top Secret/SCI eligibility. The position focuses on defining high-quality training data characteristics for future AI-powered cyber models, including feature relevance, data diversity, and bias assessment.

The candidate will ensure data suitability for downstream AI development, with DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II requirements, and must have 10+ years in data science or analytics.

Qualifications

• Clearance TS/SCI CI Poly is required.
• 10+ years experience in data science or applied analytics.
• Understanding of AI/ML data requirements.

Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Data Scientist to define the characteristics of high-quality training data . This position will be located in Fort Meade, MD and will be an onsite position.

Responsibilities

The Data Scientist defines the characteristics of high-quality training data required to support future AI-powered cyber models. This role focuses on feature relevance, representativeness, bias, and generalization considerations rather than model training. Early data science input during IOC ensures that data collected will be suitable for downstream AI development, reducing risk and accelerating capability maturation during follow-on implementation

• Identify AI-relevant features and data attributes

Qualifications

High School with 10+ years (or commensurate experience)
