Insight Global is seeking a Data Scientist for the Denver area to develop machine learning models and AI-driven digital twins of electrical networks. You will surface metrics such as wildfire risk and aging infrastructure, and craft scalable data pipelines while conducting A/B testing and quality assurance on predictive models.

The role requires advanced Python or C++ skills, 3D mapping experience with geospatial tools, and hands-on work with Databricks, Neara, Esri, and related platforms.

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Data Scientist in the Greater Denver area. This individual will help develop machine learning models and AI-driven digital twins of electrical networks to help utility companies optimize infrastructure, mitigate wildfire risks, and ensure grid resilience. You will build accurate electric network models, surface metrics like wildfire risk & identify aging infrastructure, craft scalable data pipelines, conduct A/B testing and quality assurance on predictive models and advise on product strategy.

Skills and Requirements

Masters or Bachelors in Data Science, Computer Science, Remote Sensing, GIS or related quantitative field3-6 years of experience as a Data Scientist, ML Scientist or Data Engineer in a complex, data-driven environmentAdvanced proficiency in Python or C++ for manipulating large datasets and automationDeep knowledge of 3D point cloud processing (LAS/LAZ formats), databases such as DataBricks (or similiar) and Cloud-based geospatial toolsStrong 3D mapping experience, using Neara, GE SmallWorld, Esri, Autodesk or similar platformExperience applying ML algorithms to point cloud classification, GeoAI and environmental or spatial modelingExperience with Neara, Ge SmallWorld or EsriStrong background utilizing DataBricksPrior background in geospatial data, GIS or the Energy industryExperience working with Vegetation Management
