Job summary

Blackstone Data Science is seeking a Summer Analyst to accelerate a data-driven evolution by applying Python-based data science to live PE and real estate deals. You will work with deal teams and portfolio management to drive measurable business value and to develop novel insights from broad datasets.

You will be expected to communicate technical results to non-technical stakeholders and contribute to tools that move the investment process forward.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in programming and querying languages (Python required, SQL preferred).
• Foundation in statistics and mathematics.
• Comfortable working with and combining disparate and varied data sources.
• Strong analytical methodologies and problem-solving skills.
• Experience balancing multiple projects and meeting goals in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent commercial-mindedness and understanding of business/investment context.
• Independently drives key workstreams forward and collaborates with stakeholders.
• Experience developing AI and generative AI applications preferred.
• Experience in a data-driven professional setting preferred.
• No previous experience in the financial services industry is required.
