Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Data Science Specialist to support advanced analytics and data modeling across medium to large datasets in a high-security, cloud-based environment. You will emphasize data cleaning, visualization, and Neo4j graph database solutions using Python or Java.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, maintain thorough documentation, and apply modern development practices, including Docker and Agile methodologies, to deliver actionable insights and operational improvements.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with relevant Polygraph.
• Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD; an additional four years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
• Demonstrated experience cleaning, visualizing medium to large data sets.
• Knowledge of and experience with Neo4j Graph database technologies and cypher query language
• Experience developing at least 1 or more programming languages, like Python, Java
• Understanding of Cloud infrastructure in High security environment (classified)
• Experience operating with modern software virtualization tools, like Docker,
• Desired: Agile development frameworks
• Desired: Experience visualizing data in Tableau

Responsibilities

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
