Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Manager, Data Science and Optimization for Retail Bank in McLean, VA (and New York, NY). You will translate business challenges into optimization and ML solutions, collaborate with product and engineering teams, and deploy production-grade models to improve customer outcomes and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree + 6 years of data analytics experience, or Master’s +4, or PhD +1.
• At least 2 years’ experience with open source programming languages for large-scale data analysis.
• At least 2 years’ experience with machine learning.
• At least 2 years’ experience with relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and solve complex business problems by designing optimization models.
• Build, test, and deploy production-grade optimization and ML models.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to integrate models into systems.
• Lead and mentor analytics efforts to drive measurable business value.
