Job summary

RealPage, Inc. seeks a Technical Project Manager to connect Data Science, Data Engineering, Software, Product, Operations, and business stakeholders to govern the Data Science lifecycle from problem definition to deployment and optimization.

The ideal candidate will have direct experience managing data science or ML projects in a fast-moving, technically complex environment and will turn complex work into clear, executable plans with strong coordination across teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in technical project management.
• Direct experience managing data science or ML projects.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams (Data Science, Engineering, Product).
• Ability to understand data pipelines, experimentation, model evaluation, APIs, deployment, and production support.
• Strong planning, prioritization, dependency management, risk management, and status reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in Agile, Scrum, Kanban or similar delivery environments.
• Hands-on experience using AI in workflows.

Responsibilities

• Data Science Project Execution: manage day-to-day DS/ML projects.
• Translate business problems into clear project scopes, milestones, deliverables, and success criteria.
• Coordinate work across data scientists, data engineers, software engineers, ML engineers, product managers, and stakeholders.
• Facilitate sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, status reviews, demos, and working sessions.
• Identify blockers early, drive resolution, and elevate decisions when necessary.
• Ensure project documentation, requirements, assumptions, and decisions are current and accessible.
• Provide concise, regular reporting on progress, risks, dependencies, and expected outcomes.
• MLOps and Production Readiness: track reproducibility, versioning, testing, deployment, monitoring, and documentation.
• Coordinate model release readiness, production handoffs, and post-deployment follow-up.
• Ensure data quality, model performance, drift, reliability, security, and support ownership.
• Establish repeatable processes for model promotion, retraining, monitoring, incident response, and retirement.
• Process Improvement: help create lightweight, scalable operating processes for the DS organization.
• Develop templates, dashboards, meeting cadences, and documentation standards to improve team effectiveness.
• Identify recurring delivery issues and suggest improvements to processes, tools, roles, or decisions.
