Location: US remote-friendly

The Data Science Team at Reddit is growing and we are looking for an experienced Data Science Manager to lead a team of talented data scientists to drive and optimize user growth by uncovering insights and driving strategic initiatives. This role will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners (Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing) to help us build and improve the systems that continuously drive our user growth.

Responsibilities:

• Drive the adoption of strategic and tactical recommendations based on deep and hands-on experience with Reddit products and data skills to maximize our value to Reddit consumers.
• Serve as a thought-partner for product managers, engineering managers, and leadership, communicating and shaping the roadmap and strategy for Reddit by identifying actionable and impactful insights through deep-dive analyses.
• Be proactively involved in all phases of product development, including ideation, exploratory analysis, opportunity sizing, metrics design, offline modeling, experimentation, and post-launch monitoring.
• Have a keen interest in the collection and quality of underlying data, along with working on ETLs, reporting dashboards, and data aggregations needed for business tracking and ML model development.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience in driving product strategy and roadmaps through analytics, ideally for consumer technology products and marketplaces.
• 3+ years of leadership experience as a people manager, leading a team of 5+ data scientists.
• Expertise in causal inference, A/B testing experimentation, metric definition and governance, and product strategy.
• Experience enabling analytics self-serve for cross-functional teams.
• Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to understand nuanced complex concepts and systems, and explain them simply.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python/R for hands-on analysis.
• Collaborative attitude, natural curiosity, and strong evidence-backed product opinions.

Pay Transparency:

This job posting may span more than one career level. In addition to base salary, this job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units, and depending on the position offered, it may also be eligible to receive a commission. The base pay range for this position is:

$217,000 - $303,900 USD
