Job summary

Vanguard seeks a data science leader in Malvern, PA to manage a team delivering diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics across marketing, supply chain, and economic research to guide decisions. You will shape strategy, mentor staff, and push advanced analytics capabilities in a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities include model design and validation, stakeholder collaboration, and translating complex findings into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in data science roles.
• Expertise in NLP and generative/agentic solutions.
• Deep understanding of transformer architectures.
• Skill in transforming large data for ML modeling.
• Experience with statistical and ML methods.
• Ability to create explainable ML solutions and attribution.

Responsibilities

• Lead deep-dive analytics to support data-driven decisions in conv AI projects.
• Mentor and supervise a team of data scientists across multiple projects.
• Ensure data quality, document assumptions, and fill data gaps.
• Translate business needs into analytic approaches and hypotheses.
• Guide study design, model validation, and provide stats support.
• Deliver insights and actionable recommendations to leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to analytics community.
