Capital One is seeking a Manager, Data Scientist to lead analytics on the Mainstreet Acquisitions platform. You will drive modeling, risk assessment, and AI-powered solutions across large datasets and cloud platforms.

You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to deploy scalable models and translate technical findings into business strategies that improve customer outcomes and company performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field plus 6 years of data analytics
• Master's in quantitative field or MBA with quantitative concentration plus 4 years of data analytics
• PhD in quantitative field plus 1 year of data analytics
• At least 1 year of experience leveraging open source programming languages for large scale data analysis
• At least 1 year of experience working with machine learning
• At least 1 year of experience utilizing relational databases

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, and mitigate systemic risks within a newly launched, multi-model business decisioning infrastructure through integrated monitoring frameworks
• Identify gaps and vulnerabilities using advanced statistical tools and techniques
• Build and deploy solutions centered on Large Language Models (LLMs) and Agentic AI
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver on products and tools for the business
• Translate complex work into tangible business goals
