Appriss Retail is seeking a Data Science Manager to lead a small, high‑output team while staying deeply hands‑on. You will own the full scope of data science—data engineering, governance, and production model delivery—not just model building.

This role requires building data platforms, working with LLMs and agentic architectures, and driving architectural decisions while mentoring the team and engaging with product and business stakeholders. Remote in United States with a 12–15% bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field.
• 6+ years in data science, data engineering, or related field.
• 1+ year of direct people management or technical lead experience.

Responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of high‑impact data science projects.
• Design, maintain data pipelines, models, and governance standards.
• Build, evaluate, and deploy ML models in production with monitoring.
• Architect and ship LLM‑integrated features and workflows.
• Guide cloud infrastructure for data science with cost and performance focus.
• Write production‑grade Python and SQL and enforce code reviews.
