Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Data Science Leader to guide a team building AI/ML products across billions of records. You’ll design experiments, model telemetry, and translate results into AI strategy for C-suite leadership.

You will partner with software engineers, researchers, and solutions architects to drive decisions through modeling, shape a strategy embracing cloud hosting and open source software, and oversee advanced modeling to stress-test critical decisions.

Qualifications

• Degree requirements with data analytics experience as specified.
• 6+ years using open source languages for large-scale data analysis.
• 6+ years of ML experience and relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to drive model-based decisions.
• Define end states leveraging cloud hosting and open source software.
• Explain complex modeling systems to senior leaders.
• Assess and defend modeling decisions with regulators and partners.
• Shape practice for ML model development lifecycle.
• Oversee benchmark and challenger models for stress testing.
