Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Data Science Intern to join the Arlington, VA team supporting a national security customer. You will work with engineers and researchers on a production platform combining microservices, data search & analytics, AI, and ML services.

You will gain exposure to AWS cloud services, prototyping, ETL, and data visualization while contributing to challenging, real-world problems. This internship offers mentorship and career acceleration within a mission-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in data-related fields as listed above.
• Software development skills and ability to maintain code bases.
• Familiar with at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or C/C++.
• Experience with ML libraries like SciKit Learn, Keras, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain/maintain Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with AI, ML, and software engineering experts.
• Gain hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and prototype development.
• Enhance data analytics, anomaly detection, and visualization skills.
• Perform ETL tasks to ensure data quality and security.
• Develop Autonomous Agents for coordinating information discovery across data sources.
