Job summary

Life Care Services is hosting a Data Science Internship from May through August. This full-time, 12-week program includes hands-on projects, a final presentation to senior leadership, and mentorship across departments.

You will gain experience with dashboards, models, and analytics on our cloud platform while building skills in SQL, Python, and Power BI. You must be currently enrolled in a college program and eager to learn in a mission-driven environment serving seniors.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to analytics projects that deliver results and impact residents.
• Work with a cloud analytics platform to build dashboards, models and analyses.
• Develop skills in SQL, Python, and Power BI and present findings to partners.
• Collaborate with data engineering, governance and analytics teams across the organization.
• Engage with leaders and teammates for mentorship, training and networking.
• Present completed projects and internship experience to senior leadership at summer end.

About the program

The Data Science Internship is a full-time, 12-week program (40 hours per week) running from May through August. Interns will gain hands-on professional experience by contributing to meaningful projects that have a direct impact on the business. The program will conclude with a presentation to the senior leadership team, highlighting both the project outcomes and the overall internship experience. Throughout the summer, interns will also gain broad exposure to the organization and its operations.

What You’ll Do:

• Help LCS continue to activate our analytics strategy by working on key business problems that deliver results and delight our residents
• Gain hands on experience working with our cloud analytics platform to build a variety of analytical solutions such as dashboards, models, casual interference and more
• Build technical skills using SQL, Python, and Power BI while also getting the opportunity to communicate your findings to internal business partners
• Partner closely with other analytics roles such as data engineering, data science, data analysis, and data governance
• Collaborate with leaders and team members across departments
• Participate in professional development and networking opportunities
• Present your project and summer experience to the senior leadership team at the conclusion of the internship
• Gain a broad understanding of our industry and operations through mentorship, training, and shadowing opportunities
