CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) is seeking a Data Science Director to lead our Internal IT data science and AI efforts in Atlanta. The role focuses on building scalable, governed analytics, including data wrangling, modeling, and AI system development using Python/R and APIs.

Qualifications

• 8 years of relevant experience required.
• Experience in data analytics, statistics, data science, AI, financial consulting, computer science or related field required.
• Experience with APIs, web scraping, SQL/no-SQL databases, and cloud-based data solutions required.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of relevant experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, development, and performance management.
• Mentor analysts and guide onboarding, skill development, and continuous learning across career stages.
• Manage workload planning, prioritization, and resource allocation for multiple initiatives.
• Lead large-scale analytical and AI initiatives from data acquisition to insight generation and deployment.
• Ensure standards for model validation, documentation, and governance are followed.
• Partner with engineering, IT, and data platforms teams to enable scalable, well-governed solutions.
• Communicate progress and results to technical and non-technical audiences.
