Job summary

CLA is seeking a Data Science Director to join our Internal IT team in Dallas. The role focuses on building complex data pipelines, modeling, and AI systems using R, Python, or similar languages, with emphasis on production-ready workflows and governance.

You will lead a team, mentor analysts, and collaborate with engineering and data platforms to deliver impactful, scalable analytics across the organization. Strong supervisory experience is essential.

Qualifications

• 8 years of relevant experience required.
• Experience in data analytics, statistics, data science, AI, financial consulting, computer science or related field required.
• Experience with APIs, web scraping, SQL/no-SQL databases, and cloud-based data solutions required.
• Supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day leadership, coaching, development, and performance management.
• Lead large-scale analytical and AI initiatives from data acquisition to insight generation.
• Ensure productionized solutions with clear ownership, monitoring, and governance.
• Collaborate with engineering, IT, and data platform teams to enable scalable, well-governed solutions.
• Communicate progress, risks, and results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
