Job summary

Seneca Resources is seeking a Data Risk Analyst to join the HR Risk Office, focusing on data classification, privacy, quality, use, and regulatory compliance. You will partner with HR and IT to identify risks and implement governance frameworks across the enterprise.

The role requires 5+ years in risk management or data governance, strong analytics with Excel/Power BI/Tableau, and familiarity with GDPR/CCPA/SOX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5+ years in risk management, data governance, audit, or compliance.
• Familiarity with GDPR, CCPA, SOX and related standards.
• Proficient with Excel, Power BI, Tableau.
• Experience with GRC tools is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify data risks and mitigate with appropriate strategies.
• Develop and maintain data governance policies, standards, procedures.
• Monitor compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Support risk reporting with dashboards, scorecards, and summaries.
• Assist in data incident investigations and remediation tracking.
• Collaborate with data stewards, owners, legal, and compliance teams.
• Maintain a register of data risks and control gaps.
• Stay up-to-date on emerging data risks and regulatory changes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of risk documentation and processes.
