Russell Tobin is seeking a Data Retention Implementation Specialist to support enterprise data governance, records management, and regulatory compliance initiatives. This 1-year W2 contract is based in Plano, TX, focusing on implementing and enhancing data retention processes across applications and business units.

The role requires 5+ years in Data Governance or Records Management, hands-on RIM/ROPA experience, and the ability to identify gaps, develop remediation plans, and strengthen

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Data Governance, Information Governance, Records Management, Compliance, or related field.
• Hands-on experience implementing enterprise data retention programs.
• Experience with Records Information Management (RIM) and Records of Processing Activities (ROPA).
• Experience performing compliance assessments and remediation planning.
• Professional certifications such as IGP, CRM, CIP, CDMP, or DGSP are preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute data retention implementation and remediation activities across enterprise applications.
• Analyze retention assessments and documentation to ensure compliance with standards.
• Identify data retention gaps, risks, and non-compliance issues across environments.
• Partner with application teams to implement remediation plans addressing retention deficiencies.
• Support RIM and ROPA initiatives.
• Monitor data lifecycle processes and validate adherence to retention schedules.
