Job summary

Mace in San Francisco is seeking a Data & Reporting Analyst to support dashboard development, reporting, and data analysis across capital project and operational teams. The role focuses on building and maintaining dashboards, working with evolving datasets, and improving how information is structured and communicated.

You will create dashboards in Looker Studio and Power BI, validate data, and collaborate with stakeholders to turn complex data into clear insights that inform project decisions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in reporting, BI, data analysis, or a related role.
• Experience building dashboards in Looker Studio and/or Power BI.
• Strong Google Sheets and/or Excel skills.
• SQL or data-querying experience.
• Automation experience with Google Apps Script or similar.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain dashboards in Looker Studio and Power BI.
• Translate reporting needs into clear metrics, visuals, filters, and layouts.
• Own assigned dashboard builds and ongoing enhancements.
• Work with Google Sheets, Excel, and other data sources to organize, validate, and prepare data for reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting structure, datasets, usability, and presentation.
• Perform data checks and help maintain consistency across reporting outputs.
• Support reporting automation and process improvements where useful.
• Analyze project, operational, and financial data to identify trends and variances.
• Work with internal teams and project leadership to support reporting needs.
• Assist with other reporting, data, and dashboard initiatives across projects as needed.

You’ll Be Responsible For

• Build and maintain dashboards in Looker Studio and Power BI
• Translate reporting needs into clear metrics, visuals, filters, and layouts
• Own assigned dashboard builds and ongoing enhancements
• Work with Google Sheets, Excel, and other data sources to organize, validate, and prepare data for reporting
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting structure, datasets, usability, and presentation

You’ll Need To Have

• 3+ years of experience in reporting, BI, data analysis, financial analysis, or a related role
• Experience building dashboards in Looker Studio and/or Power BI
• Strong Google Sheets and/or Excel skills
• Good understanding of data structure, metrics, and data quality
• Comfortable working with data that may need cleaning or restructuring before reporting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and take ownership of assigned work
• Comfortable communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with both Looker Studio and Power BI
• SQL or data-querying experience
• Google Apps Script or other automation experience
• Financial reporting, cost management, or project controls experience
• Facilities, construction, real estate, or capital-project experience
• Strong dashboard design and visual communication skills
• Experience working with project management information systems (PMIS) or similar project/financial systems.
